A larger operation was telling me that he gets weekly marketreports for pricing timber, stumpage values etc...  I know its a pay for service but where can I find this information.  I'm in southwestern Indiana.

I'm wanting to buy a few loads of logs and would like to know what I'm paying for and how to find the fairest prices.

Thanks,
Flip

If you contact the Ag Extension guys at Purdue University, or the Forestry Dept. or go to your state DNR Forestry people, they put out reports for Indiana prices, at least they used to do that. Probably more helpful than THE Hardwood Market Report which has more to do with the trading of hardwood lumber (if I remember that right too  ??? ).
