We are a tree service, so our stump removals are limited in comparison.  We were looking into renting a hydra stumper 250-300 hp grinder to complete the task.  Just curious what the output would be acres/day, with relatively flat ground with minimal rocks, and average stump diameters 20" of various hardwoods.

Or we are open to other options?

Thank you in advance!
The stumps of today are the ceilings of tomorrow.

I've sent a PM.  I think you'd find that terribly slow and there are better options.  Can I ask what the end purpose of the site would be?  Do they want the organic material removed or retained on site?  ie is this going to be a fracking pad.warehouse site/etc or a forest/ag use?

Depends on the skill of the operator. One operator might do twice the area and take half the task time as a low skill operator with the same machine.

D8 class dozer ( or bigger) with a blade plough or cutterbar. Much depends on soil type and stump size from there but it'll work out cheapest in dollars / acre every time for natural stumps.

Row crop type stumps that Savannah plough above might beat it... maybe. Depends on soil type and stump size.
The quickest way to make a million dollars with a sawmill is to start with two million.
