There was a question about the material for a scraper on the forum some days ago. Here is a design as I think works good.

It is for mills with roller guides. I have made a number of it also for others mills. The scraper blade is made of 5 or 6 mm spring steel. It can be fine adjusted against the saw blade. The scraper blade will stop all kind of debris to go in and be pinched between the roller and the saw blade. That way it also results in better surface finish and the saw blade keeps cleaner. The scraper has to be rather stable because boards somtimes "rides" side ways on the saw blade and the board will hit the scraper with some force.
The holder is drilled throug for cooling water and there is a nozzle behind the blade over the roller.

My LM3 has a plastic shield built like yours. Adjusts up and down, I just slide it up 1/4" to see if more sawdust will go out the shoot. It also is bigger, out and front of the teeth also. So the teeth have left a mark on it.
