Sad news indeed
My and Linda's thoughts and prayer for the drouins
My prayers are with you Peter and Ann. Keep your spirits up. My brothers father in law had a very similar diagnosis. They removed the one lung and with follow up lived many years.
Prayers sent to a hardworking man and his other half
My Prayer if for Healing Grace for Ann and for Supportive Strength for Peter.
Prayers to you both I know it's easy to say but positive thinking goes a long way my brother in law has been battling for 25 years had it in 5 different locations good support here and I'll be praying
I have a colleague who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer approximately 5 years ago. He had his right lung removed and he's going strong now, no signs of cancer. His positive outlook and faith in God is what got him to where he is today. I'll be going to church this evening I'll say prayers for the both of you. Roger
Prayers up from here as well. Pete and Ann, hang on to your faith. This is still risky business but it is no longer the grim prospect it was just a few years ago. You can beat this!!
Prayers sent!
I read this last night an couldn't post my consent of prayer. I get so depressed every time I hear or read the word cancer. I prayed for quick healing for Mrs Drouins and for Peter for strength in being her care giver.
So sorry to hear this. We will be praying for healing.
We are praying for you as well. God Bless.

Peter Drouin's wife Ann has 4 cancerous tumors in one lung.
Things aren't looking good for Ann and Peter
Thank You Bruno
Best wishes. About 10 yr. ago my mom had "too numerous to count" cancer nodules in her lungs. She did great for almost 5 yrs. Since then, there have been great improvements in the drugs.
Peter, hopefully peace and grace abound for you and your Mrs.
Best wishes for a good outcome!
Praying for you traveling down the same road
My thoughts and prayers also. I only met Pete the one time, and know he's a hard worker with a good heart
So sorry to hear. We will be praying for ya.
Talked with Peter today.
Ann has stage 4 lung cancer
They are starting treatment next week.
It doesn't sound good to me.
My Dad passed of the same thing.
I'm very sad for Peter and Ann.
Peter is behind on orders because he has so much to do with Ann.
Who would be willing to go help him with me on a Saturday.
You know I can't do much but I would bring one of my helpers.
I could also cook lunch burgers and dogs.
Please let me know.
I'm walking with a walker I will do what I can.
Thanks Bruno
One Saturday in the near future.
If we can plan it out.
Peter, difficult time for you and your family and one I've been through as I'm a 2 x cancer survivor (2 different types, I'm genetically flawed) myself. Positive thinking helps combined with aggressively following doctors orders re all treatments. The advances in chemotherapy are startling and we hope she responds well after surgery. As the going gets tough a positive forward looking face on things is going to mean so much to her. My only suggestion is to bitch and complain and unburden yourself here and with others but keep a strong distance between unburdening and your wife's circle of friends and comfort. The more they see you as the rock of Gibraltar the more help you'll be to her. Giving her the space to focus on healing without stress of worrying about you.
I only wish I were not so so far from you so I could help Bruno on a weekend. I'm a bit limited in my own travels due to my farm and family circumstances but I'll be there in spirit. If anyone from southern PA is heading up I'd donate a log for sure....and you know me, it would be something special.
Prayers for comfort and healing sent
I am too far away but I know that you guys will step up and help Peter through this difficult time.
Keep this thread updated with plans to help. I'd love to go, but I'm the sole field crew for the company. If I don't do it, it doesn't get done. BUT, if the stars align right, I may be able to swing it. If something comes together, I can consider possiblilities.
In any case, best wishes to Peter and Ann. I'm rooting for you.
I would like to help out if there is any way, playing catch up down here on Saturday requests myself but will try. Peter and Ann, I and friends will be praying for you.
@Bruno of NH (http://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?action=profile;u=26349) please let Peter know that his wife and he are in my prayers for healing, strength and comfort. If there is anything else any of us can do from afar, please let us know!

I am sitting here Peter feeling like someone just ran me over with a truck. :( :'( :'( Took me a while to find the Boo Hoo I am so worked up. Not the kind of news I wanted to hear from you.
My heart goes out to you and your wife Peter.
It's been said, that medicine has come a long way in even the past five years.
I have a brother and a daughter going thru similar issues.
It sucks, but Don't give up hope.
Avoid making business decisions or any big commitments for a while.
It's ok to shift the work stuff into neutral for a while, to deal with this huge stress in your lives.
You have friends here, with a lot of practical wisdom to share.
As NativeWolf said; keep on being the rock at home and do your unburdening and what-ifs out here.
Be strong buddy!
Peter, my Prayers will continue to be with Ann and you during this most difficult time. Please keep us updated when you can.
Peter:
I'll come up and help you saw for a day or so whenever you need it, just let me know.
Prayers sent your way for you and your wife.

Peter, dont know you but have been reading your posts for years. You are an inspiration to the working man. Dont quit... give it some time and see how it plays outs. My prayers are with you in this difficult time.
God be with you both Peter!
I agree and encourage you to Shut things down for a while but don't make any big business steps. A friend had a similar situation and regrets selling his business now.
Peter
I am thinking of Ann and you a lot lately.
I barely met you at Bruno's months ago. I have never met your wife.
I trod a similar path a year ago. I started chemo prior to having my left lung with fist sized cancer lump removed on Jan 3. My odds weren't that great. However the health wizards these days work miracles daily. My prognosis is that I beat it! It wasn't easy but here I am.
Ann can do it too! She is lucky to have you in her court. Be strong and don't give in to despair. She needs your strength and hope.
I am confident you two can beat this.
You have my prayers daily
You would of enjoyed meeting Ann. :)
Sorry Ann and you are having to go through this. Prayers for you both. Focus on Ann of course but don't make any drastic business decisions at this time.
Prayers for both of you, so sad :'(. I lost my Mom 3 years ago to cancer...not easy :'(
Thanks for all the kind words and prayers. Have friends bring dinner over.
Peter my prayers are with both of you. My sister in law out lived the doctors guess by over 7 years quite comfortably, I pray she may do the same.
Thanks for the update Peter. My Prayers will continue for Ann's treatment & recovery and also for you during this time of care giving.
Peter you're a good man, nice to hear an update. My prayers remain for you and Ann. Happy thanksgiving
Thank you Peter to give some news. Hope for the best.
I agree with Busysawer, dont make big business move . If, and if, you loose your lover that will be enough for a change in life. Take your time
I send you some positive Energy right now
Happy Thanksgiving, Peter & Ann. Dennis

Ann is in hospice, I wanted to bring her home today. Had it all set up at the house. Then today she turns for the worse. Can't breathe. The cancer is growing so fast it's in her right lung now. To suffocate is a bad way to go. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

So sorry Peter.
Very sorry for your loss, Peter. I found great strength and comfort in this Gibran poem when delivering my mother's eulogy. Maybe you will too.
"For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?
And what is it to cease breathing but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?
Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountaintop, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance."
Too sad, sorry to hear this.
Take care.
So very deeply sorry Peter. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Peter, I am so sorry to learn of your loss. It must seem that your world has come to an end when Ann is gone. I know I would be totally useless without my wife Carol.

I was going to put it up, But with all the $$$ going to the Sanbornton Library I did not want the librarying or I have to go through the checks to see which ones came from the FF To give Jeff his 5% off the top.
But now the cat is out of the bag.
Ann loved the garment trade, That girl Could make fiber from anything and then the garment. My house is full of spinning wheels and looms.
I'm going to give the Library a wheel and a loom. With a truckload of fiber.
Good to see the Library full of people, young girls to learn how to make stuff.
The house is so empty.
I stay busy, If I didn't then I cry.
So if you want to grab a hand full of C, notes and send them to.
Sanbornton Public Library, PO Box 88 Sanbornton NH 03269 In Ann's name, I say thanks.
Mark check FF if seen here, Thanks.
