I came out of retirement last year to manage a timber sale for a friend.
The timber volume included 10 mbf of Hemlock.
One condition we agreed upon was that I would have the Hemlock cut and skidded to the header tree length for my use at my mill.
This would be part of my fee for doing the sale.
I got some Hemlock on the landing for just labor, He was saved part of my fee, the buyer took this into consideration when bidding and his logger was paid for cutting and skidding.
My grandson and i bucked and piled the logs last wee, now all I have to do is arrange for trucking.
I think this was a good deal for all concerned.
Picture is of a portion of them.
PS I finally learned how to post pics after 10 yrs or so on the forum.
