Too many irons in the fire

Yeh its fairly cold out which is good cause its a very wet block,it is definitely fun to be in nice wood it sure makes the bottom line look alot better! It is hemlock and besides white pine and aspen it is my favorite wood to cut it adds up real good been averaging 2.5 cord per twitch! Yes the Jimmy is 6/71 powered and with the variable speed governer it really runs the Prentice well!

Cut a bigun today!

It was about 36 in on the butt which is pretty good for hemlock!

is that a 440 or 540 if 540 how do you like it and compared to another skidder that size    asking because iv been looking at one to buy but would like to use one for a day to see if I like it  8) 8) 8)

Maine logger88

It is a 540b I really like the machine it really pulls good I've been averaging about 2.5 cord per twitch and I usually pull in 3rd gear and that's were the power shift comes in handy if its pulling hard go back to 2nd and if its going easy and the road is smooth click up to 4th or 5th! As far as other skidder sizes I really like my 225 timberjacks  it pulls quite well for what it is but I like the 540 size machine it makes things go easy but they are tall to climb into and like right now I'm beat (of course I also got my personal best of 20 cord in a day today : 8)) and after a full day with the 225 I'm not very tired at all other skidders I've run have been a c4 a 664 a 666 and a 440c but I probably like the 540 the best out of any of them
