there will be 2 new motor oil classifications starting in 17. every brand no matter who makes it. a ck-4 for older motors and a fa-4 for 2017 and newer only. the fa-4 will be 10-30 or 5-30. ck-4 will have 15-40. according to my source 15-40 will go away in a few years

I don't doubt it a bit. We had HEUI engines that we had to go to 10w-30 in the winter because they just wouldn't start below 0 degrees celsius.

The lease company I work for switched last year we have had issues with the huei engines skipping and lack of throttle response after engines get hot worn pumps don't like the thinner oil change the oil and put 15w40 engines run fine
