choker cable where to buy?

Does anyone know where I can buy some choker cable locally with out ordering it.  I've been wanting to buy one but not to sure where to look for it  in maybe 1/2" or so thickness  6' or so long with a loop at each end.  I was wondering if the chainsaw dealers sell them. Thanks in advance  dave

Well Dave, if you would be so kind as to update your member profile and plant a tree on the member map we would know what 'local' means.

Check out the large equipment dealers in your area such as John Deere or Catapillar.  If there is any logging activity in your region they most likely stock chokers.

Thanks for your reply. I updated my profile. Didn't know I didn't fill out the state where I live. I'm in maryland.  There's a john deere dealer near by and also newholland tractors.  I'll go theck them out. There is a small engine repair/stihl dealer that sells some logging stuff I can also check out. Thanks again.  dave
