does anyone here still run a 288 Lite

I've got one with the seals blowed out......so I wouldn't exactly say I "run it".    Actually, I got very little work out of the 288 before it crapped out.

I liked the saw, but the mounting system was for the birds.  Had a mount like a coil spring from a 78 Dodge 3/4 ton pickup.  Swear I could feel the piston moving up & down. 

More power than a 372 for cutting woods like hard maple & white oak, but not as heavy as the 394 to drag through the woods all day.

385 is a huge improvement.

i dont no if i agree with ya there on the 385. my pap has three and i like the 288s better than all of them. they are good saws but for me personally the wore out 288 works better for me but hey what ever work right....
