When I was decking some 8ft hemlock pulp today the reverser popped out of gear and wouldn't go back in forward or reverse gears. It has been bothering some about popping out lately and going into reverse hard sometimes so I figured that I'd have to dig into it sooner or later anyway. So I pulled the top cover off and found the roll pin holding the shift fork to the rod sheared off so I dug a little deeper and found the bottom tine of the fork had broken off. Anyone ever had this happen before I don't know what would have caused this but luckily it isn't an expensive fix

Is it a Warner t-98 with reverser ahead of it?

Its a NP trans not sure of the model with a reverser ahead of it. Got it all back together this morning it was a pretty straight forward fix.
