Passed away Sunday at 85 years old. Yes, he was a Hall of Fame quarterback who was the MVP of the first two Super Bowls, but even more he was perhaps one of the finest men that ever lived. He never met a stranger and had time for everyone he met. Truly a great man.
Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

He was honored guest and speaker at a post season Football Banquet when I was in College.  As a 18 or 19 year old, I was very impressed and took his picture.  I showed the photo to my Grand Daddy and he said he looked too old to be still playing games.  :D

Great QB and man.
I remember a Sports Illustrated article way back when.
He was according to the article a backup for a consensus all america at Bama named King Hill.
The only thing I remember about Hill was he punted for the Eagles.
