Hello all,

I'm going to build a solar kiln based off the VT plans but the material list looks off to me, anybody have any experience using the exact material list with plans?

The immediate parts I noticed were:
5 14' PT 2x8 boards, but I only see the need for 4
15 8' PT 2x8 boards but I only see 12 needed
6 8' PT 4x4 but I don't see any needed at all on the plans

The base/joists were the only locations listed as needing PT and I only saw 12 and 4 boards needed

Am I missing something? Baffle is just regular framing lumber right?

Any recently used fan recommendations would be greatly appreciated, I'm Bay Area in California for ordering

If you look closely at the pictures, you will see that the 4x4 material is used under the 2x8 floor.  The 4x4s are in contact with the ground.  A small air space between the ground and the 2x8 floor itself helps keep the floor drier.
