Top rail covers

I keep my mill under a cover when not in use until my mill shed is finished.  To keep moisture off the top rail and make sure I don't run into any rust issues, I made some covers out of 1.5 in PVC.  I laid them on the table saw and ripped the side off of each pipe.  The opening on the bottom of each cover is just big enough to snap in place over the rail.

I wonder if they will trap moister underneath?

     I use foam pipe insulation from the big box store.  Cheap, easy, can toss it behind the seat in the truck for transport, and readily available.

In 11 years I've never covered the rails.   Never had a problem with them.   Seems like overkill and just another thing to remember to take off, or put on.
Been there, done that.   Never got caught [/b]
Retired and not doing much anymore and still not getting caught
