timberjack tranny temp

Hello ya'll we just got a timberjack 450. What's the normal transmission temperature we're running a pretty steep hill and it's hanging around 200 degrees.
I always though 200 was running hot enough

never ran a 450 but the 460 should run about the water temp. try dropping a gear and wfo, if that doesnt work check your tranny cooler, i think its the same as the hydro cooler make sure all fins are clean good luck

yup. also IDK what transmission it has but an internal brake holding could heat it up.

 They have a Clark transmission. Mine has stayed around 160-170 and not pushing it on semi flat ground. Blow your coolers out. You should have a transmission filter on the back side, left if looking at the nose. Expensive but worth changing if you havent.

so no brake, my clarks always run water temp, 180 is right...........make sure fluid level is right.
