Hi eveyone im looking for the tuning specs for a husqvarna 181 .  Does anyone know the factory rpm and specs for this saw.

Not much to it. Set the idle just below clutch engagement speed and just rich enough that it idles cleanly and picks up without stumbling. Open the hi speed to about  1-1/8 turns out, at WOT slowly turn in until it just starts to 4 cycle, it will try to scream then drop back repeatedly. If you have a tach this will likely be around 13,000 rpm. It should pull smoothly in the cut. Go back and fine tune the idle. That is a powerful and tough old saw.

It should "fourstroke" at WOT out of Wood, but clean up in the cut. I believe tha max recommended rpm was 12.5k.
