You know the whole time you were sitting there watching reruns of the Andy Griffith show and feeding your face snacking on cobbler and what not that bear was parked in his camo den just behind that evergreen, sipping hot cocoa and watching you through a pair of binoculars.  Now that you all have vacated the premises he is probably dining on blue berry waffle cone  cone_1

No doubt laughing his but off about how he sabotaged your gunstock  :D

Just to clarify, I think it is a Marlin, lever action, in caliber 35 remington.....  I was looking for something myself and wondered if I could find that.   Need the model number to be exact.  They are about $60 is what I am finding.

Gets ya there.   Yep that is a pretty imformative site.   Found a spring for my American Standard .22 pistol that has been broken for a few years.

Just so long as da Boss don't confuddle the two, and sit when he shoots or shoot when he sits, he'll be OK.

Hard to run away from da Bear in a sitting position!

Asy, speaking of which, you should see my portable blind.  Tammy worries about me bear hunting from it. It is a folding chair with an attachement the pulls up and over from the back forming a small enclosure over me.  She figures to a bear, I'm like a big fat sausage in a bun. :D

I'll try to take a picture of the rig to post. It only takes me about 30 seconds to set up and be covered, but I am in a sitting position with no way to get out quickly.

Yup, to a bear you would be a neatly wrapped and slow moving sandwich. ;D

Since I can't bow hunt for them because of my shoulder I figure sitting on the ground with them was just as bit a challenge.  ;D    With the meals we ate up there and all the bait I handled I had to smell appetizing to a bear, if there would have been some.

HAHAHA That tent looks like a giant Bear-Meringue!

Seriously though, it looks good, but I'm with Tammy, I'd hate you to have to make a quick getaway from that thing!

Would be quite comfy though. Is it rain proof? So if it rains yer right?

Its not rain "proof" any more then a tent with an open flap, but it certainly helps.  :)
