My 4336 which is now 12 yrs old has an electronics issue.
I reduced the temp to max 150 for the summer for heating domestic h2o.
Now it wont let me increase the temp back to the winter heating temp i typically use.
Anyone out there have suggestions?

I've had trouble resetting temps on my 6048 if I don't get the sequence just right.

You need a new temp controller. The new controllers when you get to 195 will go to 150  or 150 and then to 195. The old ones you could take up or down.

Priced it out yesterday only 59or so  plus tax, not too bad.
One of the few things from central boiler thats not too pricey.

Make sure you turn the main breaker off. The rocker switch inside the door will leave one wire hot yet to the controller. That one wire will get your attention!!

Thanks Al, I had planned on doing just that.
Looks like a fairly simple replacement

pete,

Try to disassemble and clean connections to the controller and your ground.  Could save the cost of a new controller.  Had the same type problem with my 6048 a couple of years ago.

Havent got too far into the replacement so far just took the cover off and looked things over.
Everything looks good and clean in there by casual observation.
I will check connections but will probably replace anyway.

Pete did you get the controller replaced yet? Hope everything is working again.

Yes al, week and a half  ago and it was a simple change out and works just fine
Bet I saved myself at least a 100 dollar service call plus the part.
