Hi guys, first of all dont know if this post is in the right area but here goes:just wondering if anyone has made their own log lathe? Iam in the process of building my own and any ideas ,pics or suggestions would be great.

Its a lathe and a sawmill but take a look at replies 19 thru 21 on https://forestryforum.com/board/index.php/topic,79020.0.html
and maybe it will help.

Are you essentially looking to replicate the lathe mizer  that WM sells or do you have something else in mind?

yes something along that line.Mostly interested to see what they used for adjustable tailstock and live edge, what did they use for a cutter, speeds etc. I have a headstock and chuck from an old craftsman lathe that iam using but the tailstock seems a bit slight so was wondering if anyone made their own.
