So much for bragging about having one early blossom :D

Yeah, but when his plants are dried and burnt up, we'll still have maters making.  :D

If The C Farm wa selling veggies,The C Farm would have tomatoes planted. I have a ways even before they blossom. I have not even got the garden tilled yet. Seems good to not to worry about getting stuff started early.

That's more 'maters than I've grown in 5 years of trying. I've given up, but the missus keeps at it. I guess she's fond of watching blight in action.
I hope my ship comes in before the dock rots!

You are right about "trying" to grow tomatoes. Years ago you could almost grow them on a gravel road. :D  Did not have to have cages, trim up the bottom leaves for good air circulation,we're not drying lumber here. ;D Than no leaves can touch the ground. A sprinkler getting the leaves wet towards the evening hours is not a good idea. 35-40 years ago we use to just plant them and let the plants spread on the ground.
Last year I used some caluim. Did seem to help. But who knows for sure. No way to turn the clock back and see what happens using no caluim.
There's a ton of info on the internet to tell me how to cure every problem tomatoes have. ::)

Mostly ours die from neglect. Lindy has good intentions but can't always get around well enough to take care of them and I'm just not home enough to tend to them. She tried planting them in square bales this year. Not sure how that will make them grow any better. It did give her a use for the old hay bales left from last falls Halloween and Thanksgiving decoration projects.

Finally warm and dry enough to put the plants outside. I am not a gardener, don't have the patience, but sure do enjoy the end result.
