I can't think of anything to criticize...good job! LOL! Too bad you don't have a full bundle of sawn material.

Murdock,  that is HUGE!  How do you drop a tree that size without shattering it?
About the walnut rootball....any particular diameter the rootball buyers are looking for?  And do I just trim the rootball so it's just a bit  bigger than the butt?
If you  don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else!

Don't want to rain on your parade but I'd take the $500 for it standing. I sell a lot of veneer and while the buyers pay competitive prices for KY White Oak; the $8-$12 dollar walnut logs they buy all come from the mid-west and even if the butt log veneers the remaining logs will go for saw logs in the $1-$2.50 range. One buyer in particular sends out a price sheet "paying up to $12.00" only problem is he never seems to average more than $2.00. Hope you prove me wrong.

Finally got the tree cut and loaded today, I cut one more with it, I am taking 5 logs

20" 10' butt
18" 12' second both clear
16" 8' third 3 sided
16" 13' butt clear
16" 10' second clear

I'll let you guys know if I should have taken the $500 or not
