I know you guys are getting tired of this But since I got negative feedback on the black and yellow I thought I would try something differant.

so here are 7 differant index pages.
these are the only ones changed so far all the other pages are still yellow on black.

the logo is still on a black background, doing it transparent it just looked like crap but I think it looks all right this way for now

At least I'm giving you some choices

I like #1 best.
I like that other darker wood background but it's a little hard to read. If the lines were a little shorter it would be better. Maybe green letters?

I'm kinda partial to #5 & #6. I found all of them to be easy to read, which is the main thing you're looking for.  Of course, now that I think of it, the darker background might have been hard to read with my old monitor. It was getting pretty dim.

My choice would be #4.  Why?  Well.....I thought you'd never ask. First, the boards are too busy of a background. The black printing on #1 is easy to read but a bit harsh. The red printing on #4 matches the tool bar but I agree with SpruceBunny that you might try green letters. It might be a little easier on the eyes. Plus.....green kind of goes along with forests.

I like # 1 OR # 4. My biggest problem when designing a website, is getting it to look real nice. Trying to show the product(wood) on the Home Page always messes me up.

You have done an excellent job. I like the whole site. 8)

I liked #6 the best, with #2 coming in second.

Timber_Framer

I liked #1 the best.
It was simple and to the point while still being tastful

Well, Quart, this has been a very conclusive survey. I think you can safely eliminate #3 from contention. :D :D

The small boards look great, but are real hard on the eyes for reading. #4 isn't bad, but #1 is a little easier.
