Is a bicep tear something that will heal of does it need surgery to tie it back together?

A partial tear may somewhat heal. A complete tear would require surgery. With a complete tear the bicep will ball up when ripped off and give ya dat permanent Popeye Muscle.
I went to the Doc for my first one, as the brusing was quite severe. His responce was 'we don't bother repairing it on old farts'.    :-\

The other arm will get a work out now. Easy Bruno stop lifting 3/400lb logs by hand, use the tractor.
I will pray for a fast recovery for you.

The tractor got picked up the night before.
It had a coolant leak and needed it's first service and the long kit installed.
I'm having the dealer do the first service so if there is any thing in the oil they see it.
I'm still working doing a porch renovation job.
With one arm :)

OUCH!! Give ti a couple of days and it will be black like  ELK42. I hope it heals quickly for you.

Ouch! I can feel for ya as I tore my right distal bicep in 2012. A sudden gust of wind while I was handling saturated sheets of 3/4" CCA caught me off guard. Although mine was not all that painful the ripping sensation and popping sounds of the tendon snapping is one you remember for a while. Had surgery to reattach everything then almost 6 months of physical therapy but mine has never been as good as it was before. I hope you have a quicker recovery than mine was.

A bicep tear ended my nephews pro baseball career. It's been 2 years and several surgeries and he's still not back to normal. Needless to say, he's a very fit young man. My sympathy. Keep it iced!
