I'm in SE Wisconsin and am frustrated with the lack of a good local sharpening service. I'm curious how many others out there hold the same frustration. I don't want to buy a sharpener unless I could go all the way and buy a production model and sharpen for others. I have the time, but can't justify it for myself alone.

Stumpy,
Since I started sending my blades to Menominee Saw (one of this boards sponsors) I haven't been frustrated once.   :)

I've been sending my WM blades to the resharp facility.   My monkey saver blades are sent to D.W. Bands in Pennsylvania.   He was recommended by the monkey saver rep down at the Richmond show last year.  I have had no problems with anything he has done and I'm getting ready to ship out another batch to him.
Been there, done that.   Never got caught [/b]
Retired and not doing much anymore and still not getting caught
