Woodhaulers new truck
Thanks rick! Today it should be ready to haul wood!
Now you will have to change your bottom tag line in your posts :D
I think it will be warmer in the garage changing the loader then in the edge of the woods splitting firewood by hand. That metal pipe handle will be a tad chilly first thing, no wait make that all day.
Congrats! Sweet looking truck.
Do you plan to keep the front floats (tires) on in the winter? We are debating on ours.
That looks good. here's some help with the pictures.
I like to go to whatever post or start a new topic first to include a picture.Go to your gallery,it will open in a new window.Click onto your album, than click onto whatever picture you want,it will get bigger, than scroll down a little to find,Insert Image In Post, click onto that, click Yes and that is it. Some have to copy/paste the link to work.I like to hit the enter key at least once or twice to move the picture down away from what I am typing. The enter key really helps to leave some white space if posting more than one picture. Somewheres I think it says to add 10,000 to your user number or something like that to make a clickable icon to your gallery under your user name. Use the preview button to see how it looks and modify it if needed.
Nice truck. Make sure to give us some pictures of it all ready to go. That way I can be more jealous. ;D
Very nice rig. Congrats. How about a picture of the first load.
Awesome looking truck woodhauler I like that hood better than the other style, you guys don't waste anytime getting it put together.
Congratulations. :)
Way to go 8) now we hope the coming yr will bring a better market to move wood. Like ctl said, didn't take long to change over loaders,my trucker waited 2 mo to get setup.
very nice, that is the fastest I have heard someone switch a loader.

I have ran floats year round for the last 3 trucks,no problems!
Congrats on the new buggy. At one time there used to be several tandem trucks in the area with the loader behind the cab. It is just not feasible here to haul that way due to our weight restrictions. There are still several tandems that haul a pup. If they want to haul a smaller load of firewood or a small load they just unhook the pup. A truck and pup can access many more areas than a tractor trailer can.
There's a new "star" shining! Congrats, nice looking truck. Can't wait to see what it looks like with a nice jag on it 8)
What loader are you putting on it? What will it weight empty?
Woody
They look so nice when new...
If I were buying a new one today, first thing I would do is have the dealer benchmark all the sensor readings under a set operating condition. Keep a record of them for future reference to compare readings when some fault occurs and they start stumbling around the shop for hours and hours and cannot find out what is wrong with the truck.
Around here I found they could not troubleshoot the new trucks properly, the technology in the truck was too far ahead of the mechanics.
Your whole day or probably longer can be ruined by some intermittent fault too easily with this new gear, especially in a rough woods application.
Good luck with the new STAR...

We could swap a loader over in a day if we had everything.
Sweet!
I'll bet you're going to have a smile a mile wide driving it. :)
Great looking truck 8)
I love the color !
Good choice on the Star.
Had 161 miles on it friday, got 2200 miles tonite!
No trouble the first 2000 miles is a good sign, it must have been put together on a Wed.
I'll bet its a fun ride, set back an ;D
Nice truck. Good to see somebody moving forward in logging :)
