I had a call yesterday asking if I wanted some "nice" pine logs.  I showed up about a block from my home this morning. The trees came from a stand behind a large house.  How to get the logs out from where they were cut to where I could load them on my trailer.  The answer was Otis, a 2,200 pound one horsepower skidder.  Otis belongs to the owner of the tree service I was working with.

I got a nice wack of logs for a days work thanks to Otis.

Yep.  A new shed is on my list of things to do first.  I have a long list of things to do first.

I actually have a good sized stash of pine logs.  I suspect I need to saw them soon so the bugs don't get them.

My one-horse skidder just passed away after 32 years of faithful service.  Even though the up-keep is sometimes onerous, a horse makes the task so much more enjoyable.  Regards, Clark

Sealark, if he made it 32 years, he did good...and obviously you did a good job of helping him! I know all about losing one...it's like one of the family is gone...:(
I'm so far behind, I think I'm ahead!
