Broke my ankle big time on Jan. 6th.  Slipped in the kitchen, had bone sticking out of my leg... :'(

Three more weeks and then I can start gradually apply weight to the ankle.  Should be Easter by the time I can get back into the woods and the mill.
At least it happened in the Winter up here in the great North East.

I believe in the hereafter, because every time I take two steps into the tool crib to get something I wonder " what did I come in here after"

If nothing else I'm always a good last resort or the guy to hold up as a bad example

Campy,

Sorry about the sore hoof. Looks pretty rough. I hope it grows back stronger than ever. Makes us appreciate good health all that much more and remember how quick it can be taken from us. Hang in there and keep us posted on your progress and return to the sawdust factory.

I suggest you carry the image with you should you ever have to go through a metal detector.
If your back in the woods by 4/2 you will be limping, because every day while in a cast those
legs muscles are losing strength and it take s a lot longer to get it back than to lose it.
