I got a couple of older Husky's that don't seem to follow the newer serial number setup. The 2100's # is 1006204 and the 285's # is 1001309. I bought them both new, but it's been long enough ago I can't remember when. :D  Also got a 61 I picked up as a parts saw, made in Slovakia. The only # on it is 6345132. Any ideas as to manufacture dates?

Those early #s were not so direct .My guess is 6 th week of 1981 for the 2100. I'm confused with the 258?
61 should be 34week of 1986.

It was a mistype the first time, it is a 285.  1981 does sounds about right. Both of these old girls were laid up with shot CD's.

Yes those old ignition modules do break down with enough years whether their used or not. Those bygone day breaker point systems before the CDs were not such a bad design ;)
