The First 70 years of childhood is always the hardest.
My advice on aging gracefully... ride fast bikes and date faster women, drink good tequila, practice your draw daily, be honest and fair in your dealings, but suffer not fools. Eat a hearty breakfast, and remember, ALL politicians are crooks.

Did you measure it, or score it? 200+ lbs is a big deer in these parts. That spread looks pretty wide too.
Congrats. My 8 yr old daughter is wanting to go hunting, looks like I may have to get back in the woods some.

What we did do was weigh it......201.
The taxidermist / processor measured around his neck at 23 inches.
We didn't measure the spread but looked to be 15-20 inches. Getting him mounted. I will post pics and measure then.
.......and about your daughter's wishes.....I heard a guy say one time to take your Angel hunting, it'll keep the Devil out of them.  :)

Glad you told me that. I almost went blind trying to see the gun.
Me too. I even went out to my Jetta and got my good readers to see if I might spot it!
Wat to go Paul!!! I was your age when I shot my first deer- a 110 lb spike. It out weighed me by10 lbs. What a thrill!

Wow!
That is a very nice Buck, I like the idea of having only one round on your first hunt with your dad along side ... My dad used that strategy with me on my first Elk hunt and I will never forget it, the entire weekend I was thinking about that single round in there and knew what I had to do. Great job David and congratulations to your son on his first Buck.

David I think you will need a basketball at some point, by the looks of the legs on that youngster he is going to be a foot taller than you. materhead
