Today's happy customer

Today's happy customer was Mary Ann and her husband Joe, who stopped by to pick up six pieces of 1x18x7' white pine boards to make shelves.

Thanks, I'm still on "lite duty" until Tuesday, but selling from inventory is nice.

Nice! Happy customers come back!

Are those 1x18x7' white pine dried in any way???

We are getting more and more demand for kiln dried lumber.... this years project is to build two large solar kilns!!!  ;D

Thanks,

Did she get milk with those cookies?

She looked happy.  Hope she doesn't get unhappy when they check?

Today's happy customer came over to pick up a 5' piece of red oak for a shelf. When she saw (in person) the one she picked out from facebook marketplace, she decided it was too thick at 1 7/8". So I found her a piece 1 1/2" thick.
She took that:

I had a bunch of left over 1" boards from the standing dead pine that I saw up to make some 1x18's for another order.
These leftovers had blue stain, rot, and some bug holes.
A lady stopped by to look at the 1x18's that were 7' long and leftovers from the order pieces.
She saw these low grade leftover boards and wanted them.
She wanted one natural edge and 10" wide.
So I cut some for her and I cut some extras in case she didn't like the quality of the pieces I picked out for her.
She loved them.
And we put them on her roof of her SUV to haul them home to make shelves .

Just in case she didn't like the ones I selected I made at least three more 16' long or so.
after she left we cut these in half and through them into the slab pile.
During lunch today, she texted me that she wants three more 6' long, to match.
I guess after it stops raining here, I'll be digging through the slab pile for the leftovers again.

I found three or four pieces that will work for her. Hopefully she'll be done as I don't think I can match them again.

Today's first happy customer was a lady named Linda who came over to pick up some hemlock cookies I cut for her project. Thanks Linda

Today's second happy customer came over with a 4" thick piece of Teak he wanted cut in half.

here he is checking the thickness with a piece he had on hand:

Next is cutting the piece:

 sorry about the shadow....

Next is the finished two pieces.

I think this maybe the first time I cut Teak.

The third happy customer got his white pine posts:

It was a busy morning at the mill yard.
He came in just as I was picking myself up from slipping and falling on the icy path to the house.
I thought I might have had to call out for help to get up. It wasn't fun at all.
