Housing in Charlotte NC
« on: March 18, 2019, 04:27:50 PM »
Due to the new arrival of my latest granddaughter last month, my daughter and SIL are looking for larger home there in Charlotte NC area. If any of you FF family members have or know of someone with a home to rent or sell in that area please send me a pm and I'll forward it to them.

The minimum requirements they have been looking for would be for a 3 bedroom house or apartment, pet friendly as they have a large dog (Golden retriever), one and a half baths (2 full would be better), good neighborhood with low crime rates and good assigned elementary and pre-schools. They prefer something within 45 minute normal drive of the Levine Children's Hospital where she works. New enough or remodeled recently enough to be sure no lead paint is present. Prefer with a garage, shed or some additional attic storage.

For purchases they are hoping for something within the $175K list price range (Tough in Charlotte I know) and HOA fees if any, less than $100/month.

The litmus test I'd ask each of you to use would be "Would I feel safe with my daughter and grandchildren living there?"  If you have questions not covered here ask them and I will get the answer and update this thread so all can see , if appropriate. Thanks.

I have read, understand and will comply with requirements for posting here on the Forestry Forum.

Edit: They have a realtor they have been using and they see the new postings on the multiple listings that are going through the realtors and property management people and are hoping to find one direct from the owner where there is not such a feeding frenzy to buy or rent it.
