Webcast of Opening Session
« on: September 05, 2007, 11:33:25 AM »
For those interested in why 65 registered participants from 12 countries are going to gather in Duluth, MN next week, anyone can tune into the opening session webcast on Monday Sept 10 8:30 - noon, CDT (13:30 -17:00 GMT)

https://umconnect.umn.edu/ndtwoodsymposium/

A schedule of technical talks and events for the three days can be found at:

http://www.nrri.umn.edu/cartd/ndt2007/programschedule.pdf

A look at this schedule will give an idea of what research is happening to evaluate the internal quality and integrity of wood, be it in tree form, logs, or products. Not that anyone will soon evaluate the holding wood in the hinge of a dead birch before making the open notch or the back cut, but it can be done.

Beenthere,  scuse me for getting off topic,  but your post reminded me of one that MarkM made onetime:  The guy asked if this bus goes 'to deluth' and the driver responded "nope it goes beep beep".
