Log grapple
« on: November 24, 2012, 10:26:17 PM »
Hello everyone! I'm looking for a log grapple. Needs to be able to unload logging trucks with 13' side supports. A good tree service truck or deck mounted grapple will work.  Hydraulic out-riggers are a plus.
I have an old winch truck I can mount it on and an old backhoe I can pull the hydraulic outriggers off if needed.  Already have all the hydraulic pumps and controlls if needed but the easier the better.
Prefer a full rotation grapple but a 180 will work.
Located in Palestine Texas so transport costs will be a plus or minus on this.

I have an old loader here. It is a Brute 100, old but strong. has outriggers, may need some bushings redone. $2000. Grapple is off it (missing when I got it). Pics later today.

I would think you should be able to find something local. Last time I drove down to houston on hwy 59, there were quite a few for sale in the Lufkin area.

Thank you Ironwood but I think LeeB's idea fits me better.  I'll look into that Lee and thank you sir.
