My bunny season will start on Monday. We always wait to the end of deer gun season to start. Weve had a big influx of coyotes and hawks in recent years so i hope we have a good season. Bunnys, like deer love munching my young trees eating the new buds and bark (darn it).  Good exercise walking miles chasing them.

I box trap them.  Makes better eating as I kill then by tapping then on the back of the head and the intestines  aren't all over the meat from being shot.   I skin them and then cut out the loins and legs without gutting.  Everything else goes to the cats.  My wife sees them as 2 loins and 4 legs. Loins are fried and the legs go into stew or soup. Grandkids love grandmas meat stew. ;D
