I like to cook deer burgers with chopped up Green peppers and Onions.
Sometimes a little Jalapeo. :)
And mix it in the meat before cooking. yum!

I use just beef fat at .50 a pound
At about 4 bucks a pound for bacon it still isnt close to the 129.95 or more per pound venison costs me.
I think i will try on some tho next yr.

How does deer meat cost that much a pound? Is it just the cost of it after being processed or are you cleaning it yourself. Im confused.

Owning hunting land, Land taxes on hunting land, hunting leases, atvs's to get around on hunting land, guns, ammo, licenses, time hunting instead of working and just buying food, hunting clothing, miscellaneous hunting gear, gas to get to hunting land, gas to get back, gifts for wife to keep her happy because you hunt instead of dance, hunting dogs, vet bills for hunting dogs, etc... etc... etc...!!!!

That looks good 8) 8)  I can't eat venison anymore :(  I just don't like it now.  Ate too much of it for too many years.  Wife and kids don't like it either.  There's venison from three years ago in the freezer.  We didn't even bother to hunt last fall.  We bought more beef instead ;) ;D 8)
