what a difference a couple of days makes
« on: August 08, 2018, 12:56:44 PM »
Word is out now!  I am not able to saw fast enough to build any stock. Guys are buying steady now.

Here’s yesterday’s sawing. Sold

This is one of the logs I’m sawing

Disregard the old cedar on top.  This is my first purchased load of logs

Opportunity is missed by most because it shows up wearing bib overalls and looks like work.

There's another load of logs coming later this week.

I'm sawing at a friend's firewood processing yard.  It keeps storming every afternoon so I'm only getting 5 or 6 hours of sawing time.  I do not stay around all that metal when it's lightning (2 tractors, loader, 2 sawmills, a firewood processor and a half dozen dump trucks)

The tractor (M8540) and other support equipment are his. All the support equipment for the firewood processor is available for the sawmill.  I'm having logs delivered to his yard and he unloads for me.

It's been nice sawing under the shed during these hot days.
