Stihl 041 Farm Boss (SOLD)
« on: January 19, 2019, 09:32:46 PM »
I have read, understand, and agree to the terms of posting an ad on the Forestry Forum.

041 Farm Boss chainsaw. I had gotten it from my brother years ago and used it as my main large saw for 5 years. Used for bucking firewood logs over 8" or so and felling larger trees. Has never seen commercial duty.
I hardly ever use it anymore because I have newer saws I use most of the time.
It runs great, I keep fresh gas in it and start it up every few weeks or so.
It oils good and doesn't leak any fluids, but I still wouldn't put it on the wife's kitchen table without a rag under it.
Front handlebar padding is loose. Other than that there are no issues.
24" Stihl bar with full chisel Stihl chain.
Just ran it last weekend and it still cuts like a beast...

I hate to see it go, but I just don't need it anymore and it's got a lot of good life left in it.

Asking $200  Galion, OH area

Got 4 local calls on it from CL and the 3rd guy that contacted me ended up buying it.  Hoping it works out for him as well as that saw did for me.  He said they only have about 3 acres of wooded area, but there are some Ash that are dying and they are just to big for his little saw.  He figures he won't be using it all that much but was very glad to have it for when he needs a larger saw.

It was a good one. I hated to let it go, but it's not doing me any good sitting there.
