Trouble Shooting a Small Circle Mill
« on: May 06, 2019, 06:30:11 AM »
Was wondering if anyone had seen this? I stumbled across a video from 1992 with Casey Creamer and the NCSU extension troubleshooting a mill.

Looks to be fairly informative.

Very informative. could have used that 40 years ago. Where do I get a 16' straight edge? I actually use a piano wire. I wondered when he rotated the saw 180 deg and it improved the run out if the thickness of the saw plate affected his measurement. Especially when his saw collar runout was within specs. Even though my mill cuts good lumber makes me want to go check everything again. And my track is welded in place. Not going to mess with that.
