Log ID plz

Are the smaller logs ash? All these logs came from a river bottom in Missouri. The biggest log cherry? Red elm? No leaves to help ID, these trees have been dead for a year.

I heard back from a forester friend of mine, he says these are ash, and the big one is cherry.

I would not argue either, but not so sure that the reddish one is cherry. On second thought, the bark looks like cherry.
