No Strawberries for the 4th
« on: July 02, 2019, 09:37:50 PM »
Well no You Pick. Been a cold, wet, cloudy June. Them 3 things did them in. They have been doing this for years. I would guess 30 years,if not 40. Really the first time no berries for the 4th. I worked a summer at the fields. Had strawberries for breakfast.

strawberries were average here this year and long gone.  I mowed the patch 2 weeks ago and hoping for bumper crop next year.  We have whole berries and sundae slurry in the freezer and jam on the shelf so we are good for awhile.

I have to stop in a couple fields and check on the way home.  I'm not sure if the cow corn is going to be knee high on this 4th of July...
