A customer wants to frame up a cottage using 3 main timbers (1 at peak, 1 at 7' down each side)out of white Pine for the look--
timbers to be about 22'6" with 18' unsuported span--bld.to be 18x24 with aprox. 14' rafters, load to be 40#+20#=60# I would like to use 6"x12" or 8"x12"--where can I find data??  JP

BeamChek would probably be the most common software used.
AFPA's NDS manuals contain most of the values and formula's that the codes reference.
