Saturday, January 31st, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

It'll be at their World Headquarters in Indianapolis, IN, which just so happens to be a mere hour drive for me  :)

I got a postcard in the mail from them a couple weeks ago telling about it. I plan on taking my mom with me, might just get her interested ;)

I'll wear my FF hat just in case there are any other member there.

Ty,  lots of Wood-Mizer guys are Forum members, so you will be meeting some members.  Not sure who will be there, but look for Dave Mann, Rick Lauman, Jeff Heidlage (Bio-mizer) Deanna Bunten and Kevin Corder just to mention a few. There are many more.

Ty

Only a little over an hour and a half for us but I can't make this one.  Seems like everytime I go I buy something.  Might as well resign yourself into getting your wallet out.   :D  Which mill are you thinking about?  Just think of it as a birthday present.

I know of a new item they will be showing. It is a belted feed table for the LT15. The table feeds the boards to the blade like a resaw. If you get a chance come and see it.    Thanks

I miss spoke. The table will not be shown. It is not ready and is only a prototype. Sorry for giving out bad info.   Thanks

Hoofer, I've had the last 3 days of school off, counting today. I like to think of it as a birthday present  ;).

Thios will be my first time seeing any sawmill in person. 8) If any sawmill gets towed home it'll probably be the LT15. Seems like a good starter model for me, as I don't plan on it being a business or anything till I'm outta college. But who knows  :). I could definitely use it for my own woodworking, and I have 75 acres of hardwood to choose from.

I'll let you guys know how it turns out for me. Hope to see some of you there  :)

I was there and I was very disappointed that, even though they claim the LT40HD is their most popular saw, the only LT40 of any form being demonstrated was saddled up with the lap-siding fixture.  Net result, no sale for Woodmizer today and I'll have to schedule a "private appointment" and make another 3 hour round trip in order to see one actually cut a log. smiley_smelly_skunk

They had all their machine there, lt10, lt15 with electronic feed, lt28 with lathe mizer, lt40HD with lap sider, and lt70. They were all cutting lumber except the lt28 and lt40.

Because they were not actually sawing logs or lumber with an 40, 40HD, 40SHD, or 50, it was not possible to see the log handling ability/efficiency of these machines or the power when cutting more than a 6" piece of lap siding.

They were cutting lumber on a bouncing 70, as I like to call them.  It was fast though.

why do you call it a bouncing 70?
