Florida Division of Forestry Workshop

Forestry Best Management Practices (BMPS)
October 22, 2009, 8:30am -12:30pm
Trenton Community Center, 214 SE 3rd Avenue, Trenton, FL 32693

This workshop is intended for Loggers, Site Prep Contractors, Consultants, Wood Buyers and Forest Landowners.  The workshop will discuss BMPs that are involved with Upland Harvesting, Swamp Harvesting, Site Prep and Forest Road construction. 

Participants will also learn about Special Management Zones (SMZs), exceptions to Primary Zone management, when to get a Jiffy Permit from the Water Management Districts, installation of drainage structures and many more important topics.
