I run a couple of older saws, so this is my 2 cents.
Just look around to make sure you can get parts!

I have a husky 065 (65L) that was given to me. I'm not sure about parts availability, as mine needed none. It's a tough old saw. ;) (Key word here is old) Heavy and no chain brake. Could be a safety issue. Price is relative, What're your plans?      :) TT

I would have a hard time justifying buying a saw so old it doesn't have a chain brake. I think the operative word here is 'antique'. Out of the dozen or so saws I own and use to make my living, only one was not manufactured in this decade. I remember using saws without chain brakes 30 years ago but a lot has changed since then.

i've got a husky 61 that i cut my fire wood with. was looking for a back up saw i love the 61 thats what atracked me to the mod. 65 but its age scared me. on the other hand i am not wild about the things i hear about the husky 455 or 460 which is probably what i would buy if i buy a new saw. maybe i need to look around somemore.

The 65 has been just a collector item for a long time - totally outdated as a work saw... ::)

70cc ones from the 1990s or newer - some slightly smaller ones will do as well,,,, ;)
