Hickory Logs
« on: April 08, 2011, 12:47:35 PM »
Trying to find a home for 4-6000 feet of hickory logs in SW PA. These are still standing for the most part. A few have been cut to fall other species in their path. Clean, straight, and avg 20" and bigger diameters. Most of the butt logs would make veneer grade if there was a market for it.
Saw you tomorrow!

Bert I was hopeing someone would jump on board for those logs, I have a job at wheat harvest time with some 24 inch shagbark hickory I can get around .27 cents for them but that won't pay the harvesting or trucking bill now a days. Pretty sad I suppose I will stack them up and make them into firewood for my furnace.

I have a few here as well, like 4-5 nice big ones, any takers can come by and get mine too, I am also in SW Pa. Didnt want to see land owner cut them up for fire wood.
