huge southern yellow pine
« on: October 01, 2011, 05:28:41 PM »
Well, fellers, I sawed the biggest log I have ever sawed today. My brother cut a pine next to his yard that was 42 inches at the butt. I sawed the butt log today, all in 5/4. I wound up with 5 19 inch boards, 6-14 inch, and 10 12-inch. No knots anywhere.  I already got it loaded in my dry kiln. I got the rest of the logs in my log yard and will saw them up when I get back from vacation in Gatlinburg.

No pics?
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!

Atsa big pine...I sawed about 1200 bdft of syp over the last few evenings, and just hauled and stickered it this evening...bubba is tard.
Busted down all the slabs too...cut two feet long and stacked for the firepit in what is now the splitting shed. The shed formerly known as the sawmill shed....
Got Wood?
LT-15G GO chassis added.
WM sharpener and setter
And lots of junk.

Nice going Roger.  Now without that tree for shelter, a Southeast wind is gonna blow me away.   ;D

You know without pictures to prove it.....it didn't happen. :D
