Has anyone had a blower go bad on one of these? If so what did it act like.

Depends what you call bad,if the engine is smoking real bad then the seals may just be gone.If the shafts or the end plates are worn bad then you will hear a bad wine almost like a wizz when the engine is revved up,if you have the air filter out you will be able to hear it better. This noise comes from the blower lobes rubbing together, when this happens it's not long for this world!Other than noisy then blower will usually run till it destroys itself. What exactly is the trouble you are having with your engine?

It turned out to be a "collapsed" air filter... I had just changed it  a few weeks ago thinking that that couldn't have been the problem. As far as the whining noise ,i have always heard a whining noise when i put in a  fresh filter.
