Its been over a year since I sold any log length firewood to the log trucks, or any other wood for that matter but was just curious of what to expect on the landing.  7-8 cords per truck is what I was figuring, on the landing.

What do you mean by "log length" ?
Tree length to a min. top diam?
Or CTL to some other length?

Ohiowood

Where I live in Ohio they go for about 350.00 to 400.00. And like you said about 7 to 8 cords

I live in Winchendon and just bought a load for $800 for a 7-8 cord load. Not sure what they bought it for.

Around here log length means whatever length it comes out of the woods and you can get it shoved onto a truck. :D Basically anything not processed into firewood.

In north central Pa tree length means 45 - 50', whatever rides on a log trailer legally.  Pole wood is cut to 24' usually cause we use triaxle log truck to haul it.  A triaxle load would be 350-450 for the logger and trucking additional, usually 250 ish.  Yield would be in the 7-8 full cord range.

I got a price from a place in Hopkinton for a "truck load" of "log length" hardwood.  It was $500 for "approximately" 6-7 cord.

I had been thinking of buying a truck load as I'm behind on my firewood.  I figured I'd get one or two loads and go whole hog and split and stack it all until I could no longer stand  ;D
Then I'd be ahead for the first time ever.

Where are you in central MA?

Don't forget there are three size truck loads dual-axle 10-wheeler, tri-axle 12-wheeler, and tri-axle 14-wheeler. So far it sounds it sounds like the quotes have been for the tri-axle 12-wheeler. The smaller truck is usually 5-6 cords and the larger 9-10 yards.

Around here it is $700 +/- a few bucks for 7 cord of 8' or 16', we usually cut 8'4" unless it is really straight, them 16'8"
