Guy i knew was hurt in log truck crash today.

Crashed into the pizza hut in showhegon maine, may have killed him! Heard the truck ran him over! Some news sites say he is gone, others say injured. :(

Sad to hear. What day did this happen? We almost went up there this afternoon. Wonder if others got hurt inside?

Article said driver killed, and happened this morning.

Second article said the driver got out of the truck and was walking to the Pizza Hut, and the truck rolled over him.

That was a freak accident. I told the wife and she called me in to see it. so sad.

looks like a fairly new pete so it would have automatic slack adjusters. so he didnt pull the button???

Prayers to his family and friends. Such a loss to the community too.

Reminds one of tragic skidder accident a year or so ago, where the braking system apparently didn't hold and the logger was run over by his skidder.

New last year, automatic tranny i think. My guess is parking brake was left off.
