I have a ms250, ms361, and ms046.  I just picked up the ms046 about 8 months ago and fixed it up and it runs great.  I use my 250 most of the time and for the bigger wood I now use the 046. The only time I use the ms361 is if the wood is a bit to big for my ms250.  I was thinking of selling the 250 and the 361 minus the bar and getting a ms261.  The 261 is kind of inbetween the two in terms of power and weight.   Just looking for suggestions.

Depends on what you do, but I like the 3 saw plan.
I just picked up a 361 and have been really happy with the power to weight.  I am on the 3 saw plan and for what I do the 361 will see more use then the others. (the 020t is not included in the 3 saw plan).  I found the 028 super was just a little small for bucking logs around the mill, but great for firewood.  I use the 440 for felling the "larger trees" and the 361 for felling and bucking.
My next move maybe trading the 028 super for a ms250 to get a lighter saw.

I strictly use my saws for yard clean up and firewood.  I plan on getting a owb in the next year or so I'd be using them for firewood mainly.  I love the 361 I have but I find myself using the others more.  I suppose when we get the owb and start cutting more firewood the 361 will get more use.   I like the set up I have but I was considering down sizing just to cut the number of engines I have to maintain.

The more I run the MS261 the more I like it! I would be happy with just my 044 and 261 but I keep the old 041 in case someone wants to borrow a saw that's what they will get plus I keep looking for a deal on a used Lewis Winch that would pair up with the 041.

Like you said, sell the 250 and get a 261. But I'd keep the 361 for awhile to see how things go feeding the owb. The 361's a legendary saw and you can certainly justify 3 saws if you're running an owb.
