empire gas stove not heating well

My mamaw has a empire floor model gas stove use to we would set it on 3 or 4 and it would heat the house plenty. But this past year or 2 ive noticed that now we are having to turn it up to 5 or 6 to keep the house warm and it still feels chilly at times. I dont know if something is wrong with the stove or maybe the old house is just getting more drafty.

You may need a new thermocouple/probe for the thermostat control.

The old Garland oven needs a replacement every few years, as they don't make them as well as they used to.  Something to do with removing Mercury from the part.

On the other hand, if your fuel usage has increased, look to the air leaks.
